Devastation. A quiet kind. Few even knew about the plans. The public had no idea what was in the mix. Biological warfare. If only the weapon hadn't been left in the hands of a blue collar package carrier. Yes, in the end, a single man was responsible for destroying the world as we know it. Those who initially contract it will cough, wheeze, and vomit blood. It will spread by both air and water, leaving no one safe. With the population having less than 1% immunity and a 95% mortality rate, time is short and the world is ending. Through the luck of the draw you are immune or a carrier. 06.01.2010Two Entries already, you guys are fast! :3 06.01.2010Guys, We're open\o/ 05.26.2010So we've had questions and discussions about the specifics of the virus. Now it's of course fiction and it's roughly based on The Stand. In the Stand, the people who closest died within minutes. Then a man who was there and managed to escape spread it to his family and to the world. So you can either spread it from person to person or through the air. The book doesn't discuss what happens in other countries but I imagine it'd be a long time for the disease to spread there by air. It's also up to you as the doller to decide the specifics! :) But I did give a rough guideline of: The closer you were you'd die immediately to an hour, across the county could take a couple days to a week for symptoms and a week for death if spread by air but hours to days for person-to-person contact. They are guidelines and guestimates since it's not a real virus(Or let's hope ;) ) I also want everyone to know we're super excited to see your entries come June 1!
